 School Subjects

As a learner, understanding the subjects they study at school is a fundamental knowledge before diving deep into the details of each subject. School subjects vary from country to country, school to school, college to college. Furthermore, the school subjects at elementary school, junior high school and high school are also different. Now we are going to look at some of the basic school subjects taught at most school around the world.
Elementary to high school

  1. Geometry: another types of mathematics working with lines, solids, angles and surfaces
  2. Language: the study of languages, English, Khmer, Chinese
  3. Math: the study of numbers, and different types of calculations such as plus, minus, multiplication and division.
  4. Algebra: a part of mathematics that we use signs and letters to represent numbers
  5. Geography: the study of the earth and location
  6. History: the study of past events
  7. Science: the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical world, especially by watching, measuring and doing experiments.
  8. Chemistry: the study of the parts of matter likes molecules and particles
  9. Physics: the study of matter and energy and they interact with one another.
  10. P.E (Physical Education): sport and physical activity taught as a school subject
  11. Music: the study of sound patterns made by musical instruments,
  12. Biology: the study of life
  13. Drama: the study of a play
  14. Social Studies: the study of social relationships between individual groups of people, & people of the world
  15. Home Economics: the study of cooking and other aspects of household management, especially as taught at school.
  16. Arts: The study of music, dance, theater, literature and visual arts
  17. Martial Arts: sports that involve combat and self-defense
